BILL BARNWELL

Senior Pastor

Pastor Bill is the lead pastor of Royal Oak Church and has served in ministry since 2001, when he began at only 20 years old. Since that time, he has served at churches in South Bend, Indiana area and throughout Michigan from Flint, to Port Huron, and now currently, in Royal Oak.

He has been married to his wife, Lorie, since 2005, and together they have a son, "Little Bill". He is a graduate of Bethel University and also carries a Masters degrees in Theology and Ministry.

Bill is also an attorney who has his own private law practice. Well versed in Scripture and with a passion for reaching today's culture, Bill is committed to leading the church to make a lasting impact on the community.

JOE DUPREY

Worship Leader

Joe Duprey joined Royal Oak Church with the vision and drive to lead people in worship, and has focused on finding fresh ways to help people experience Jesus on a new level.

Joe sings and plays multiple instruments and has a great passion for music. He is currently attending University of Detroit Mercy earning a degree in Business.

BRIAN THRASHER

Family Ministries Director

Brian joined our staff in 2017. He grew up in Madison Heights, MI where he attended Redeemer Missionary Church for 20 years. He later moved to Mesa, Arizona in 2007 where he met his wonderful wife, Morgan. Brian and Morgan have three kids- McKenna, Benjamin and Joshua.

Brian was the co-youth leader at First Christian Church of Tempe in Tempe, Arizona for about three years. Brian has completed level one of PLI (Pastors Leadership Institute). Brian became an official licensed pastor in February of 2020. He is currently the Family Pastor at ROC.

He has a great passion for ministry as well as a great passion to learn and grow. He is a very energetic and outgoing person.

GENNIFER GALAMBUS

Administrative Assistant

Gennifer loves being on the ROC team and has a huge heart for serving our community. She graduated from Cornerstone University in 2015 with a degree in Elementary Education. She is a pre-school teacher by day and administrative assistant by night.

She has been a part of the Royal Oak community since birth and loves finding ways to continually give back and help make it a better place.
